OUT THERE Bristol CIC

Out There Bristol Community Interest Company exists to benefit the communities which it serves by providing opportunities for people to connect with nature and each other, and promote health and well being by spending time outdoors.

Projects are designed either by individual Forest School Leaders or a collaboration of, all who either work at Out There Kindergarten or have an association with it but who want to explore their own Forest School and related projects. People are employed on a freelance basis and everyone contributes to the running of the CIC in some way.

Forest School Home Ed Sessions

These sessions are a great opportunity for engaging in forest school activities such as tool work, fire and nature art and craft whilst socialising in a calming, natural environment. The sessions are child led and the facilitators plan activities with the children depending on their interests. Activities are also differentiated depending on age and abilities.

Sessions are for children aged 5-13 years old. Children must be aged 5 or over and in the equivalent of Year 1 or above unless they have attended Out There Kindergarten or Apple Blossoms Kindergarten, in which case they can attend from compulsory school age (the term after their 5th birthday).

Sessions run between 10 am and 2 pm on Fridays during term time. Our summer term runs from Friday 29th April to Friday 15th July 2022.

Please drop and collect at 252 Scout Hut, Stonechat Gardens, Stapleton BS16 1UQ. However, please do not park in the resident’s car park. We kindly ask that people park on the nearby roads and walk through to the scout hut. Thank you.

Please provide a healthy morning snack and packed lunch.

How to Book

Please send an initial email to woodlandwanderersbristol@gmail.com and either Lauren or Pilar will contact you in regards to a free trail session. Following that, you will need to complete a registration form. Sessions cost £22 but will be invoiced monthly.

Upon taking up the place, you will receive an invoice for the remainder of the month which is payable in advance and within 10 days in order to secure your child's place. Please note that there is a notice period of 4 weeks if you wish to cancel your child’s place. Once registered, we will continue to book your child on to each new term unless you give notice on your child’s place.

Spaces are limited to 16 children. If we don’t have spaces at the time of contacting us, you can be added to a waiting list.

Sessions are currently facilitated by David, Pilar and Lauren. For more info about the facilitators, please see the Stapleton team page on our Kindie website.

Out There CIC delivers the home ed group, a membership-led venture separate to the Kindergartens.
